Default ek coupe LSV - running rich, oil leak, high idle, and bad VTEC wiring

so i had traded my bagged sedan for a 98 ex coupe with a built lsv, there are a few issues that i was aware of before trading, but any way themotor has flat valves
brian crower stage 2 dual valve springs
brian crower titanium retainers
brian crower stage 2 cams
skunk 2 intake manifold
msd ignition
255 pump
h22 injectors (310cc)
b18a1 block
golden eagle sandwich plate
block guard
eagle rods
forged pistons
acl race bearings
light weight pulley
arp head studs, rods, mains, and flywheel bolts
b16 tranny with stage 5 clutch
short shifter
light weight flywheel
greddy timing belt
hasport mounts
type r replica 4 to 1 headers
high flow cat
full skunk 2 exhaust.
runs kind of rich and is on a p72 ecu, the issues are theres oil leaking from the dizzy, the vtec solenoid ran to the horn, idk why. after getting on it itll stay at 2k rpms but when i turn it off then on its at normal idle but during the time of high idle it grinds gears.i drive the car without hitting vtec is that gonna be an issue for a short period of time ? also how can i properly wire vtec and what ecu is best ? any help would be appreciated

first off, do you know the guy?
are you sure those parts are really in the engine?
either way there are threads/post on how to wire up vtec properly and that ecu is it obd1 w/ jumper harness or obd2? figure it out and tune it before it blows up on you........just my opinion

I couldn't tell you why it was ran to the horn, apparently with the ecu it's running it doesn't hit v ? I dont even wanna ask the kid why or what made him wanna do something so..... Wrong lol, would it be ok to run it without hitting vtec ? Also thank you for the title edit.

Running the car without vtec will not damage anything.

can any one tell me why the idle stays at 2k after driving it for a little while ? after i turn the car off then back on it settles back to normal idle, but while its at high idle its grinds gears as well and i no its not my shifiting causing it. i just wanna make sure nothing goes wrong

no one ? also a few more issues. the top of the tranny is covered with oil could that be because of distributor ? i cant see any other visible leaks. when motor is at idle it makes a knocking noise and looks like timing belt is slapping around but doesnt rise with idle, and timing belt is tight when the car is off. speedo is stuck at 20mph when driving, driver side mount is welded to the car, oil looks a little watered down but not milky, coolant is greenish brown, and im regretting this trade terribly, but having hopes of being able to correct the issues being that there minor since the car runs strong. please help me out here
