Red-Rocket's 91 CRX slow build thread
hello Honda-Tech I decided to start a build thread for my 1991 CRX dx I bought it back in February, it currently has 294,000 miles on it and it's on it's second d15b2, the interior is all there, and it was all stock (mostly) which is why I got it
I'm going to do my best to keep this thread active and updated with my progress, but it will be slow (being broke sucks) thanks for reading and enjoy some pictures
day of purchase

DPFI

My goal for this build is a fun daily driver that'll see some occasional autocross use, this is my first honda so I will be on here often asking for help

Immediately after buying it, I realized it had some wiring issues, the previous owner put in a huge 5" tachometer
and had cut the wire somewhere to the tachometer in the cluster, and after pulling out the vents to check the clock wiring realized he had cut the harness to the clock

The first order of business was to get rid of the god awful 17's for some better sized wheels, which came in the form of BMW bottlecaps I payed $300 for the wheels and they came with brand new Yokohama tires, I also rewired the interior clock and removed the tachometer

I'll post up some more pictures later, I'm waiting on another b2 block with a z6 head to arrive so I can tear it down and rebuild it

Lower it - but after you take care of that DPFI problem you have under the hood.

Looks pretty clean. Definitely not used to seeing one riding that high. Looks like it's on it's tiptoes avoiding a mouse or something. Nice though.
BACK FROM THE DEAD. I've had quite a bit happen to the car and my life since I last posted over 2 years ago.

I got Progress CSII coilovers

the tensioner on the d15b2 seized up and threw the timing belt off the cam while I was on the highway, so I decided to swap for a Y7 and convert to mpfi

I MADE A HUGE ******* MESS! haha

out came the B2, the tranny mount is fucked

worked late to finish up the mpfi wiring

got it finished and cleaned up
brand new driver side and passenger side mounts, and re filled my rear mount with polyurethane.
don't mind the ghetto intake, it works XD

Bumping your own thread! In a good way though! haha. Good choice on the coils. DCRB nailed it with the bushings, they do go a long way if you need them, which most of us 4th Gen guys do.
Also, DCRB, I little crack up every time I see your sig. "It's my Type R Foo" bwahahaha

Glad to see all the stock light are back :D
So how is the d16y7 running? you put a d16a6 intake, distributor and ECM ?
the Swap looks good, bump for the ghetto intake !!
