Hey guys. I had a customers car dropped off at the house last night and I was murmured something about a shop wanted to put a trans in this car. I did not think all too much of it. Went to move it in front of the garage and after putting it in reverse there was a 3-4 second delay and literally it slammed in reverse (shook the entire car!!). Scared the crap out of me. Check engine light was on, so I ran the codes and came up with p0730,1750,1751. I have read about each code separately and am getting such mixed reviews on the internet. And I am not one to ever rip a customer off, but it really sounds like this trans is about toast.

By the way this is a 4 cylinder dx trim model.

i had a customer that had a accord that did that too. but no delay. i disconnected a shift solenoid and it stopped slamming into reverse. and everytime i would plug it back in, it would slam into gear. replaced shift solenoid problem never came back

 

You can try to replace all of the solenoids indicated by the 2 codes, but in my experience it needs a transmission....
