CRX H22A OBD2 Swap; can it be done?
Hi guys, I just wanted to put this post up before I got my hopes too high. A guy recently posted a CRX near me on CL and I've always wanted to build one but I never really thought about what I wanted to do to one. Well, after quite a bit of research, I think I've decided that I'd want to try to drop an H22A OBD2 in it. But... can it be done? Does anybody know anyone who's done a swap like this? I'm willing to change my mind on an engine, just thought I'd ask before I did something too stupid.
H22 been done many times.
I'm sure you can find write-ups for this if you search.
The OBD2 part you may want to reconsider.
Running OBD1 would be a lot more practical and easier.

Yes it can be done, got to Explicit Speed and Performance. net they have the h22 crx mount kit for 780ish with traction bar. I have a H in my 88 Sedan and the hood closes just fine.
Edit, its obd1 but using a obd2 motor youd just need to get the proper jumper harnesses.

You would be surprised how good and different the car looks with a propped hood.

Propped hood = Big swap and id rather people guess what I have than give it away. Propped hood = Cheap mounts that you have to MAKE work, not my cup of tea
True. Well damn son arent you just a talented man... Mind you I have 3" cat back with 2 resonators and a muffler and damn can you hear Vtec kick in... Ohh well it COULD be a D16 lol.... Plus its only a 4dr lol
lol, good luck, I couldn't pull that **** around here. Too many speed bumps, and no smooth roads really within a mile or two of my house which would make it a nightmare to leave the house anytime.
You eventually grow out/or get over the whole slam it idea though.
