Default Stock b16 tranny hold up?

Im finishing up my build put my motor all back together last night and put the motor n trans back in the car. I have a ej8 with ls vtec going to make around 450whp. I have a stock s4c tranny with the stock b16 open diff. Im not going to track the car or launch it or anything. Im just using this tranny so i can buy a gsr n build that one on the side. I just want to know will the b16 tranny hold up? Heard they are fragile. Also heard that i will be fine as long as i dont slam the gears too much. How much hp can a stock b16 tranny hold?

You should be ok if you take it easy. Same strength as a GSR or any other 92+ B trans more or less.

GSR is a good middle of the road trans that works well with Boosted cars. A good rebuild with a reputable LSD will suit you find for your power range and plans for the car.

You heard correct. I like Torco MTF and RTF. RTF for boosted applications.
