Problem with my 08 si

Default Problem with my 08 si

When I turn the wheel right before it gets to its maximum there's a popping sound and I can feel it threw the steering wheel. Just wanted to know if this has happend to anyone else and ideas on what it is. Thank s

Have you checked your axles/cv boots? Does it do that when you turn in neutral?

I'd say jack up the front and have a look at your axles and suspension; see if anything is loose or if your boots are torn.

Mine does this too. Whether i turn it sharp right or sharp left it makes a loud pop or click noise. I was told it is probably the wheel stop?

Ya same exact problem lol ****ing sucks had the dealership I bought it from look at it and they weren't even sure said maybe the rack and pinion bushing and wanted to charge 400 plus and didn't even know if it was going o fix the problem

I had the same problem. I followed this steering rack clunk DIY and its been over 2 years now, never had a problem since.

i believe the problem might be in your subframe.

i beleive there is a SB on this at honda. the dealership took care of mine under warranty back in 09. i believe is was rack bushings maybe? dont remeber haha

I think it was because Honda did not properly torque the rack down from the factory.
