oversize cylinder bore, does it need to be tune?
hi, i mess up my cyliner due to running on low oil(careless mistake)
i was able to save it by just honed
piston and rod are still good, all i need is new set of rings
i went to dealer and new set of rings cost almost same of a set of wisco pistons and rings.
i was thinking if i bought the wisco pistons, why dont i go oversize because the are same price.
my question is, does it need to be tune if i go oversize?
thanks

Wait until you get the pistons and take them and the rings to the machine shop with you. They will measure and bore accordingly.
Piston manufacturers do not go by a set standard in their sizes. They each vary. It best you wait!!!

i hope the shop you got to hone those cylinder walls know how to hone FRM sleeves or youre going to be burning some major oil when you get it back together
