p2v clearance issues with high lift cam
Hello, I have done some searching, but I havent exactly found the answers im looking for.
I have an 85mm bore JDM GSR with JE 12.5:1 pistons, b16 head, GSR cams with a type r valve train.
I was told that the motor will be prone to pinging with 91 octane because of the small cams, and that I should upgrade the cams and valve train. Also the head I picked up has already been milled .040 so Im worried I will have p2v clearance issues.

Are you saying even with a cam and valvetrain upgrade 91 wont work? I know I will need to clay the motor, but I wanted to have a better idea before I go and spend the money.
So, I talked to a local performance honda shop and was told with a .060 head gasket and a proper tune I shouldn't have any issues, does that sound like bs? or do you think I'll be ok?
