Default p2v clearance issues with high lift cam

Hello, I have done some searching, but I havent exactly found the answers im looking for.

I have an 85mm bore JDM GSR with JE 12.5:1 pistons, b16 head, GSR cams with a type r valve train.

I was told that the motor will be prone to pinging with 91 octane because of the small cams, and that I should upgrade the cams and valve train. Also the head I picked up has already been milled .040 so Im worried I will have p2v clearance issues.

I see no question here.

there's no real answer to your issue. you're gonna have to clay and find out. but 91 octane is not gonna work out for you.

Are you saying even with a cam and valvetrain upgrade 91 wont work? I know I will need to clay the motor, but I wanted to have a better idea before I go and spend the money.

So, I talked to a local performance honda shop and was told with a .060 head gasket and a proper tune I shouldn't have any issues, does that sound like bs? or do you think I'll be ok?

Proper tune will set your ignition timing so you wont have any pinging
