92 Integra wont start! Very weirdo problemo...
First thing that happened was the common cowl leak, that ended up blowing the blower fan, my headlights and the radio fuse... I fixed the leak, blower fan and fuse and was up and running again.
About a week later, I was driving and the car started missing and hardstarting when hot. Let it cool, starts up abut once hot again, misses and jerks bad. Then it wont start at all.
I changed the distributor and it fired up, but died when I came home and since then has never started.
I changed the following...
- Distributor again with one from a working car
- ECU
- Spark plugs/plug wires
I opened the intake, checked for spark, pulled valve cover and checked timing belt, cracked fuel filter bolt and fuel is coming and pump is priming...
Next to check is if the timing belt skipped a tooth, but Im thinking its something electrical. Any ideas or anything in the area of the cowl leak that could gotten damaged?
Any ideas?

You say you have fuel at the fuel filter, but do you have it in the cylinders, are the injectors pulsing?
Do you have 12V+ at the injectors, [from injector relay in PGM-FI Main Relay]?
Do you have ground pulse at the injectors, [from ECU/ECM]?
Try starting the engine then immediately pull a spark plug, is it "wet" with gas, does it smell of gas? 94

I will check again, but from what I remember, the CEL came on as it did normally. The fuel pump also primed and then the CEL goes off...
Fcm... Will check those things and get back. I also read some of your other posts on the Main fuel relay and I will try some more testing. Thanks so much.

I had a 91 da integra n it did the same thing its ur main relay under the drivers side dash..as stupid as this sound as ur trying to start it hit the dash under the steering wheel to the left towards the door it may sound stupid but i didnt believe my buddy who told me to do the same thing n to my amazement it worked but i would replace the main relay

im having the same issue my main relay got soaked because i have a bad leak and im pretty sure the rain had messed my relay up (there is literally water dripping from it) when i run a hotwire from the pump to my battery the pump whizzes right up, checked all grounds just wanted to make sure that the issue is the relay before i go out and buy it

Then test before forking 80 big ones
Ditto the above^^^... http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelay.html 94
for OP, 2 things i would do here. as mentioned, check for injector pulse. super easy technique is to use one of your 194 marker bulbs and peel the tangs back. then, disconnect an injector connector. connect the 194 bulb in the inj. connector. crank engine. if no pulse is seen from bulb injector is not pulsing. if no pulse, KOEO, i would check for b+ at the connector. if b+ present, it may be an ecm issue, or wiring to it.
if pulse is present, get your hands on an HEI ignition tester. this thing is invaluable. it's just like a regular spark plug only it has an alligator clip connected to the ground electrode and has a much higher resistance value. this is how you load test the ignition system. pulling the plug and grounding it puts almost no resistance on the system. a much higher voltage is necessary under cylinder pressure

Update: Tried another dizzy from a running car. I disconnected one of the injector plugs and hooked up the bulb and cranked... I tried 2 different ecus as well.
There bulb was not pulsing and the cylinders were dry...
Im going to try these methods that FCM suggested in this thread... Very good info there

Like all these guys stated, it sounds like its the fuel injector relay. If the fuel pump is priming, you could wire up a tyco/bosch relay to give the ecu power. They're only $5... You would have to trace the fuel injector relay trigger wire though.
Hey guys, I need a bit more help cause this is rather confusing now...
I hear the fuel pump priming and shutting off... I jumped a direct power (12V+) from the battery to the injector junction on the driver side strut tower. Then I got a feint/dim pulsing light from the bulb that I hooked up to one on the injector plugs... Car still wont start? I didnt have a voltmeter but thats what ill be testing next...
When I jumped the 12V+ to the injector junction, Im hearing a click. is this the main relay? When I dont jump that connection, there is no pulsing light from the bulb on the injector plug when cranking.
Ofcourse when I tried to start the car, I disconnected the bulb and plugged the injector back in... Does the main relay do more than power the injectors and fuel pump? Should I just replace it?
