1995 Honda Civic SI: Engine Swap
I'm swapping a d-series engine for a B18B1.
I need to get a hold of engine mounts and I guess I just had a few questions.
I've been told I could use stock dc teg engine mounts and that I'd need 3 mounts, one for the drivers side, one for the rear, and one for the transmission side. I've been told that all 3 of these mounts will run me ~ 300 if I can get them used. Does this sound accurate?
Thanks for any help

i would not pay over $50 for used oem engine mounts. with oem mounts, you must run torque mounts also, which you will need from a b series, (del sol vtec or crv drivers side if you are retaining a/c)
If your drivers side mount is a 3 bolt then you do not need to change it. If it is a 2 bolt you could just find a b series 2 bolt bracket and use your stock drivers mount. When i went from my stock motor to a b series i used all of my oem mounts but i did install some energy suspension bushings in my rear mount and the torque mounts. At first i ran an integra ac bracket with 2 bolts holding the compressor but later i just bought a new crv bracket. So at the most youll have to do is swap the drivers side mount or get a different bracket nothing else. Hope this helps
^^Correct.
Stock mounts from the D series will work as long as you have the correct driver side post and correct rear T bracket. Many people think they are different for some reason or another.
Not sure about the torque mounts. However, I would assume that EH3 is correct on that, too.
