Default Can't find answer anywhere!!

Hi guys,

I'm new to Honda's however not to turbo cars. I recently picked up a 95 LS b18b with a Garrett 57 trim bolted to it. Decent setup, runs well, however having built and tuned a turbo 2.5rs using Haltech, I know how important tuning is. I was a bit confused when I got the car and it had no wideband, I had no idea how it was tuned by the PO. Turns out, it has a chip burned by Phearable. Well the first thing I did was install an AEM wideband. Tune looks OK, however it needs some work.

I knew Hondata was an option, than however I learned that the OBD1 ecus can be tuned, similar to late model Subies via software such as CROME. This is where I am having trouble finding an answer to my question.

How the heck do I connect my ecu (p74?) to my laptop???

With the Haltech, It was simply a USB cable. With Megasquirt it is serial to USB. Why can't I find a simple answer to this question?

Thanks guys!

Maybe you can get an answer faster in the forced induction form... https://honda-tech.com/forums/forced-induction-16/, a mod may be able to move your post there. 94

You can't connect a cable to it, a chip would have the tune burned to it and then put in.

I'm not sure about any others but I know for sure that the Hondata s300 you can run through your laptop.

Thanks guys. Research is showing me that I can get an emulator such as Moates Ostrich and tune real time.
