Default 98 civic ex 2d brake conversion help.

First off, what is da, dc, and dc2 stands for? Year of the car? Someone please drop me some idea? Which is for which year.

Now, I'm planning on getting my civic brake convert to disc and also my seats. But I need to know which year or dc, dc2, etc,.. will fit... Looking to put leather seats on it. Cause my civic seat are worn... And the metals are catching my pants.

Thank you for your time.

Try searching first before posting threads like this.

DA, DC, EG, EK are all chassis codes

For your car you could use either 99-00 Civic SI or 94-01 Integra rear trailing arms to do your conversion. As far as seats, you could use Integra GS or GSR seats, but only 3 out of the 4 bolts will line up.

Sorry, I try looking but can't fine it. Beside I need some help so why not put it all in one thread.

I heard that the coupe gsr leather doesn't fit it has to be sedan. Correct me if I'm wrong.

they are the same AFAIK. However you can alway swap the rails from your Civic if you want to have everything bolt up

they are chassis codes.

take note of your vin number. look at the 3rd, 4th, and 5th didgit/letter. thats your chassis code.

like mine is 2HGEJ6

my car is an EJ6 which is a 96-00 Civic Hatchback, or Coupe MINUS Si, which is an EM1

Not entirely true. EJ6 = 96-00 Civic non-EX/SI. EJ8 = 96-00 Civic EX. EM1 = 99-00 Civic SI.

You can't think about the number in the chassis designation in reference to doors - you have to think of it in reference to motors. The Y8 in the EX is considered "better" by Honda, thus the 8 instead of 6.
