Default Well...went to the dyno again...after changing injectors.

Well...since I was last at the dyno(https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=269935) I removed the FPR that was lent to me and installed some '97+ Prelude injectors(290cc/min)...lets just say that I was running a little on the rich side:

Here is what I looked like the last time that I was at the dyno and what I look like now...got some nice gains, the CF were both 1.00, temp was 79.99 vs 79.40, pressure was 29.75 vs 29.68.

and here is the pre-HyTech vs current tuned HyTech:

Very impressive. What type of setup are you running?

Everything is listed in detail in the first link...too much to list at the moment.

Hmmm. It's interesting that you've gained power in the midrange where the stock injectors should still be doing OK, but have no gains in the top end where (from what I've seen) they cannot keep up. Not at all what I expected.

What does the Hytec header and exhaust cost? If you do not want to post it, please PM me.

Power was made with tuning Hondata setup with the new injectors installed...old setup included Hondata with the stock injectors and an AEM FPR...more tuning=more power.

Currently prices from John at HyTech:
$1300 for the header
$950 for the exhaust with the integrated cat

Current shipping time is 2-3 weeks.

FYI, I looked into the Hytech exhaust a couple weeks ago, he does not have a version available for R's with stock style (length) headers yet, he said it'd be the first of the year before that is available.

Ouch!!!!
I guess for the performance gains (NA) it is worth it, but I cannot afford one As much as I love NA,for that type of coin, a decent turbo setup is not much more money

to all those who poopoo keihin pintle nozzles, I'm sorry but the better spray pattern [than the disc type nozzle] must give a better mixture quality and the reason you see the low to mid rpm improvements from a better burn at those rpms....

some of the FI guys tell me that the disc nozzles tend to flutter at high cylinder pressures and stick open as well...anyone else have any injector stories to share? nozzles, drivers, ECU tuning with certain brands, etc.

It's funny. When I looked at Jun's stage 4 N/A crate motor rated at 240-250 ps they sell over on their Japanese website, guess what size injectors they use? it ain't 370's or 440's, I can tell you that....

Sold Toda becuase the parts would not yield the reliable power goals that I had set without upping the compression...this is my daily driver, just turned 40,000 miles on Sunday, can't afford to have something happen to my car, no garage to work on car for increased valve adjustments, to many people were breaking their timing belts, and I realized that with the sale of the parts I could yield a setup that would be just as fast, or faster(which it definately is) than the current setup. I chalked the monetary loss that I had to a "learning experience" and I don't regret making the decision to purchase the cams initially(although it was a rash decision) and then to sell them.

The stock cams prove to be working quite well with the proper selection of supporting parts, and tuning...the most important part is still tuning.

Don't tempt me Chad...and it's not like I haven't thought of it either. Though it's just not what I want at this time.

Booya! Looking good!

What do you anticipate the reaction at the track to be with this further testing?
