There is an engine builder that used to work for SFP by the name of forrest. I think he recently left SFP. Does anyone know where I can locate him? Thanks for the info.

Forrest is doing his own this now. If you can't get a hold of him, try his buddy Jarred at JDM Motorsports (former CFM).

just in case you wanted to know i would not recommend Forest. I don't know much about Jared but i wouldn't fo to Forest. I've seen to many cars that he's messed up. I would reccommend MCA motorsports. But that's just me

 

I haven't heard that at all, I've heard that he is an excellent engine builder and that he's built some solid engines.

If you wanna know more about Forest i can tell you a lot. I have 2 buddies that have been sqrewed by that guy. If you wanna know more just let me know. There's not many good import guys in south florida. The only 1 that i let touch my car is Mike from MCA motorsports. He's done everything on my car. I've also heard some good stuff Cybernation but that's not really in miami. And about Forest i've only heard of 1 motor that he built that ran really hard but then he sold it and it blew 3 days later.

MCA is located right next to the Tamiami airport. Mike is an outstanding engine builder, but BE PREPARED to pay out the *** for his work!

He caters more to the deep pocket people, but if it absolutley MUST be built perfectly and in S. Fla, MCA is the way to go IMO.

BTW he's the guy I'm usuing to build my SOHC

EDIT: As for Forrest, there are alot of people out there who will vouch for his work and he's built his share of stong motors. I can only think of 1 motor he built that went bad and quite honestly, I'm not convinced it was his fault entirely. But to each his own..

VTC- thanks for the analysis. Let me know how the SOHC buildup goes - also, why not let SFP to the buildup? I am not adverse to spending cash as long as I get a fairly bullet proof NA buildup. I'll probably stop by MCA this week.

 

Call Cybernation Motorsports, ask for Carlo, tell him Zee recommended him to you and he will take personal care of you...He ran 10.6 with a stock P72 in a 2700lb GSR with only 4- 440cc injectors...Good Friend of mine and doesn't cut corners when it comes to business...Heres the number (954) 523-8483...They will dyno-tune the car too...Very Highly Reccommended from me...I build motors too, but they are a legitamate business with the money to back it up...But, in case you need something done right without paying tax, let me know...

go look at the motors they build at cybernation all nosed out motors that 2 months later they blow up i went there not to long ago looking for parts and i wasnt too empressed ...

south fl hybrid shop in deerfield off of sw 10 st has a tight *** mechanice named denny really good call 561-212-2264 (jason) or (561)-305-2388 pat they will give you a good price and your car will runs like it came from the factory
