Ideas for Interior work?
imitation racing seats, ebay steering wheel, mad JDM shift **** with type R boot, TypeR Red carpet, gathers speaker grills with stocks behind it, painted gauge bezel, hell fiberglass and paint the dash, and put a racing tach in the corner and a roll cage made out of pvc pipe.
seriously tho.....
i would leave it alone, give it a good shampooing, wash everythign down nice. if anything throw a LX or higher gauge cluster in it (providing you don't have a factory tachometer) and some factory leather seats from maybe a GsR
I'd say fix anyhting that is broken or doesn't work. for example broken dash accents, switches or torn seats.

i'll give you some ACTUAL input
so far with my 98 hatch i have done the following
-install an armrest if you don't already have one

^installed a clock (not my personal picture), could cost around $60, easy to install

^these can be hard to find, but they are pretty nifty. sunglass holder
you can always reupholster any fabric in the car you'd like to see look different, here's a thread to get an idea

a nice vacuum and shampooing would do a lot for an interior.
swapping front seats can be the easiest way to make your interior look nice and be more comfortable. eg/dc/del sol seats are pretty easy to swap into your ek, just swap the rails.
you could also change the bulbs in your interior to LED so they are brighter or even different color if that's your cup of tea.

it depends on what you know how to do,or if you have the cash to have some of it done, I never cared for the materials used in the cloth in these cars, if you know how, some higher quality material in the door cloth inserts would go a long way, I had one of these and the arm rest materials were shrinking and cracking, a good shop can wrap the armrests and it would look really good,it's just up to you depending on what you want. You can go stock or all out custom. I have to agree on the clock, I never found one and I hated the stupid hole beside the radio. Overall the interior on mine just seemed cheap compared to older Hondas, more like a ford taurus then a Honda,

thats up to you, why not look for the higher quality seats mentioned earlier and do the swap. I don't know if you've done a long trip in the car yet, but the seats suck really bad, You'll appreciate the better ones on every road trip, I was going to keep mine and redo the interior but the stupid automatic it came with tore up, all the window regulators failed, something that will eventually happen to yours, really bad design, and a bunch of other crap was failing so I sold it
I suppose new seats would probably be the better idea, but in the meantime, maybe $30 seat covers can look kinda nice until my budget allows for new seats. I'm planning on lowering my car and possibly adding a spoiler soon. After I get done with the exterior, I will move my attention to the interior and save up for some things in there.

what exactly are you looking for in seats?
i have del sol seats in my car because i love how low they sit.
integra seats are the most popular of the easy swaps, and they sit kinda like bucket seats.

^ there's a good comparison.
EDIT:also, swapping the steering wheel would be some nice eye candy. if you want to keep the airbags in your car, you can swap over a rsx/s2000 or even a honda prelude steering wheel. NOTE that an EG/DC steering wheel wont fit

Im not sure exactly what Im looking for. I just wanna change up the interior a little bit so that not everything is stock and it doesn't look like everyone else's.
Yes they are and a good idea is to look at other cars. People will pull the originality bullshit but if we were original we wouldn't buy Hondas
