Well after searching for an hour on this issue I have found plenty of threads with the same issue with no solutions to the problem. I have a BONE STOCK 94 accord LX 5 speed that is all ORIGINAL. NO CEL, no stored codes. CEL bulb is good. It hits Rev limiter early at 5500 RPM. Other than that it runs like a top with no issues. I tried resetting the ECU and its still doing it. Any ideas?

 

i dont have an answer for your question, but a question of my own for ya. Why do you want to run the motor past 5500rpm if its stock? I had a 94 coupe 5spd and I miss the hell out of that car! Good luck on finding out the issue!
