Have searched through HT and found several threads asking about this seal, but nothing telling if its replaceable without removnig the transmission. Mine appears to be leaking, but Im unsure if its the seal or the main seal as some have suggested. Is there a way to determine what it might be? or a method to replace the seal without dropping the entire trans to do a rebuild.


(Only reason I noticed that boot where the shifter enters the trans is wet on the end and one side. I was trying to determine where a clunk was coming from on the front end.
