Default Ignition problem

I have a B16A2 that is throwing code 8 from my obd1 ECU. I have changed the distributor 3 times now and the code will not go away even after the ECU has been reset. It also miss fires fairly bad as well. The distributors work fine on another B16 but for some reason, they seem to dislike my car.

Is there anything else that could be the issue?

Check the two TDC sensor wires for a short or open. If the wires are fine, swap in a known good ECU.

THe wires are on snug and there does not appear to be any opens. However, I will have to take a multimeter to it later this weekend.

I really hope its not my ECU. I just had Phearable install a Hondatq in the P30.

You need to follow the flow chart in the manual. You will definitely find the prob then.
