Cat, shiet who needs a cat. Oh well i guess if you are worried about smog or whatever than you could get a random technologies cat and get it custome welded in or try to find a cat from any honda should work as long as its in the exhaust unlike the CX (in the manifold)

Will a cat from an ex work, or from a 00 si, or does it have to be custom made?

That would work fine. I am still saying that running w/o a cat is gonna give u some free HP, and you will save money on the cat

Don't get random tech. They SUCK LIKE NO OTHER. Performance is good, but reliability is really really bad. I'm on my second one and it lasted for 5,000 miles before giving me more check engine lights. Don't go without a cat either. It's a federal offense and you're hurting the environment. Is a few horsepower worth it?

I run a turbo car and my car wont run with a cat and that frees up about 30hp so yah its worth it. This is Honda-tech not inviro-tech, we wanna make our cars faster.

This guys running a b16 in a cx. Not a turbo unless he has plans for one in the future. Besides, I hate driving behind mass polluters. Don't you? oh wait...you are one! Enviro-tech!!!

EDIT: Oh yeah I don't think you're turbo helps the environment either.

there is no way you can get 30hp from removing a cat
i call bulshit on that
really your cat does not affect horse power all it is is a 3 way scrubber takes the 3 gases (carbon monoxide , nitrion of oxide and hydro carbons ) and it re burns them in the cat so they dont come out and cause anymore damage to YOUR planet that your kids my kids and theyre kids will live in

leave it in

IN A TURBO CAR, When you are running 14lbs of boost running without a cat it will add 30 plus horsepower, any backpressure effects the turbos performance alot. In an N/A car you are correct, about 3 HP dif if your lucky. If you dont believe me post in the Forced Induction area and ask how much a cat effects turbo performance.
