Default Help!!

Just swapped my old sohc zc into my new hatch (formerly Ausmiths/MugenMikes)

problems: exhaust leak even with new ex. manifold gasket, tach jumpy (not all the time), Car stutters when accelerating swiftly, at low rpm its allright.

1. I used the DC sports header on my longblock, will a stock honda gasket do?
2. After a bit of driving engine light comes on...due to exhaust leak?
3. Put in a new battery, but it seems like its dying...when I first started it the battery light came on, so I tightened the alternator belt up a little and it went away...could the alternator still be dead w/o the light coming on?

Any help is appreicated guys...I really need this thing to get running!

-Jake

Could be the flange on the header is not level. The stock gasket should seal it up fine. What code is the ecu throwing when the CEL comes on?

usually a jumpy tach is from a bad igniter or bad connections on the igniter...but you said the car hesitates, so maybe check the coil pack.

Whoa, Honda Genuine is expensive... The Honda dealer wanted $973 to replace my axels and cat back exhaust on my 91 Civic... uhh, my Civic isn't even worth $973

Jake, you check all the regular tune up type stuff (plugs, wires, cap, rotor etc)?
