Icon2 Reclearing Carbon Fiber Mirriors? Help :)

So i have some APR F1 mirrors, the clear has chipped off in certain spots, as you can see in the photos, i wanted to re clear and still be able to have that glossy/carbon look. I do not have a spray gun or anything like that. I do have some clear in a spray can i got at oreilys and i was hoping to be able to use that on the mirrors seeing how they are pretty small. So my questions are... What kind of grit should i use to sand and how should i go about sanding it? any advice would be great as well ... From what i've gather i need to wetsand and have it evenly, but that for oxidizing clear, and it seems the clear has been fully taken off in some spots so i don't want to risk scratching the carbon?

Though I was not successful in spraying my spoon spoiler with a coat of clear, When I sprayed my spoon spoiler I used 1000 grit and it looked nice for a week then it started to flake and chip off because the clear had nothing to stick on to.

I wouldn't go any lower than 400 grit. You can probably clear coat it with 600 grit, anything more fine then the clear coat won't stick. Make sure you sand the clear coat evenly, kinda looks like you need to take off the clear entirely from the pics. Under that clear coat (or protective gel) is like resin, which if you take off the clear you can still use rubbing compound and polish it up to look glossy. Just not as clear and clean as a fresh coat of clear.

Just my thought.
