Default Home Depot Lips for eg civics. Please help me.

What material do you buy and how do you get a perfect bend in it?

Just my opinion, but I'd personally go with a stock lip. Hell, pick one up from a junkyard or go to http://www.troyshondaparts.com

When you trim the lip a bit it doesn't look half bad. I've got one on my hatch. Looks ok to me.

I like mine too. I used 3M tape and 2 screws, one on each end and one right smack dab in the middle.

well, after looking at that pic again...it actually doesn't look that bad. how well does it hold up in the rain and wind? i'll still take my oem one, but good option for those not wanting to spend that much.

If you properly apply the tape, meaning clean the bumper thoroughly and wipe it down with rubbing alcohol, the 3M tape will adhese very well. My driveway is pretty steep and I scrape everyday coming in an out. Rain, roadkill, road debris, none of those phase it if installed properly. I used the 3 screws for piece of mind.

I think it looks good for $5.

I am most likely gonna do it....at least for now! especially since my car is black.

it looks good on the white civic above.

It looks very nice on a black car. I just finished helping my cousin install one on his black 98 eclipse gs-t. I'll try to take pics. Thanks, definitely one of the cost-saving mods I've done to my hatch.

i like the idea of a disposable lip, they are supposed to sit low, consequently they get fucked up.....good idea, ill probably do it myself later on

those expensive *** spoon lips look neato but ****, they just get scratched up

I am shocked that it actually works. I thought about making my own front splitter for road racing, but i guess i might have to try this out.

its called "cove base molding" they are .47 cent per foot.

i used screws to hold them. i know its really ghetto but i actually have gotten compliments on it. this is only temporary, i'll get a real lip soon.

I used the material called cove base. its thinner in width and more flexible, but its kinda flimsy.

Wow, I've never really seen these lips before. They actually look pretty decent. I will probably make my own because the streets here suck bigtime and i wont have to worry about srcaping the **** out of a $400 Spoon lip.
