I just took a look at their website. They have done some really clean looking cars. I only saw maybe two or three that were not to my taste. Other than that, they look like a clean shop. If the prices you said you were quoted are true, that may be a bit outragous. But I wouldn't quite call them a rice boy shop.

Sorry for the small flame.

yeah autothority charges WAAAYY to much...little stuff they get at wholesale, they bump up like 5000000000000 % to get a profit...most of the cars I've seen driving with their sticker are just good friends with them and havent even gotten anything done to their cars...anybody ever get anyting major done there? what about CDE? or Nu Image? i know a couple people who's gotten stuff done at inline, but dont know ANYONE from the other shops...freakin CDE quoted my friend 300 for eibachs and ~250 to install them on his celica

Yeah my local shop said $2500 for a ZC installed, and I was like whhhaaaa... but that was back in the day before I ever did any work to my car, so now I think I can do it myself, though it would help to have access to a garage.

CDE is okay, a little pricey. great work, though.

Nu Image.. well, a little shady if you ask me.. they didn't even build there drag car. CDE did..

Man, I do need to open up a shop here. Serious money. Only 2 "shops" here are Ricing(Racing) Innovations and KLR. KLR does some good stuff, but took two months on a b16a swap into a 95 civic, and they messed it up so I bad I beat him every time.
3K for a ZC? I had the motor, complete tune up and header, clutch etc for 1500$ and 12 hrs. Oh well.

those prices are outrageous, our shop here in reno will bust out a complete b16 swap into a crx/hatch in no more than 5 days, and that's considering it's a dx not even an si. That includes making custom shiflinkage and motor mounts and the price is like 3500 for everything. meaning we buy axles, hoses, wire, ecu, motor, tranny, everything!!! i can't believe people pay the prices they do. I did a zc swap at the shop and his total cost was only 1200$ but we used his stock tranny but that price included ecu, motor, and a new ram clutch.

haha a shop here in vegas dis a GSR swap into a 92-95 coupe in 1 day... like 6 hours... and like an hour the next day to tune it (timing, idle, etc).... and they do very good quality....
http://www.trevtec.com

btw.... that price better include a BJ and a hooker for 2 hours.
