Default remote starters

its beginning to be COLD here in Northern MI! and im thinking of putting a remote starter w/keyless entry on my Accord'90... any recommendations ?
was able to checkout a sale on a "commando brand for 59.95$ remote starter w/ key less entry with a range of 800 ft.
any comments on this brand?
Does an accord have Negative Door Lock Outputs.
How much would an installation be for one of this kind?
thanks for the help

for starters, i wouldnt go cheap on a remote start system. i work for bestbuy and we sell them for a reasonable price. all the work is guaranteed as long as you have the car. if you have any problems with it they will fix it for free. if you have a standard, they will not do it. as a matter of fact, nobody will. you would have to do it yourself as i did. if you need wiring colors let me know. email any questions to slowassacord@hotmail.com

Please please please listen to this voice of reason which is speaking from personal experience. DO NOT go cheap on the product, DO NOT go cheap on the install.

...some places will do it on a manual, you just have to know where. Obviously, Best Buy and PC Richards wont do it.

well i havent been able to borrow a digicam but its not actually a physical piece preventing it from going into gear.. its actually like a reminder.. just like the reminder when you leave your lights on.. its a microswitch thats pressed when shifted into first gear. the switch is wired to the same wire where the light switch is. this takes advantage of the little buzzer that comes on when the lights are left on. so if the car is in gear and the ignition is off, the buzzer will sound. only if the car is in first gear though... sounds cheesy but it helps

not true bro i put a viper 550 on my 97 5spd its a little more work but well worth it you gotta bypass the clutch wire just above the clutch two wire plug hook up the tach wire and a few more little things its not alll that tricky

you definatley dont ground the clutch wire. theres two plugs for the clutch ... the one above the pedal(if you unplug it your car wont start) you take it out and cut the plug off and twist the wires together. (i did it)
