Default 90 accord lights problem

gauge lights dont work parking lights dont work. pulled out the stereo to get the the red/black illumination wire on the oem stereo plug. wired a toggle switch up to it for the time being so that the parking lights can be turned on and off. never had that wire plugged up before and the parking lights and gauge lights had worked fine.

after wiring up the toggle switch the gauge lights still do not work. i hate electrical problems help please

Can you test the wires into the dimmer, please. BLK is ground at all times. RED/BLK (with lights on) should have 12v.

If the above is true, ground the RED wire (lights on), do the dash lights go "full bright"?

alright my gauge lights work with the toggle switch. so the ground has to be working. so im guessing whatever is supposed to send power to the red/black is not. where do i splice to eliminate the toggle switch so that the lights will come on with the car on

Did you test it (RED/BLK) to be sure.

Could be, can you please ground the RED wire and see if the dash goes full bright.

I hate to splice in blindly.....if you have to I'd just run a new wire from the switch to the dimmer....I've seen a few of these where a bad connector at the headlight switch is the issue.

could be my problem or could be my piece of $hit radio. i can turn everything on with a toggle switch hooked up from the battery to the orange illuminator wire on the stock radio plug. where would be the easiest place to find a hot with ignition on wire to splice into? i may just wire it straight to my headlight relays in the fenders. i did a morimoto mh1 retrofit and im running 6k hid with relays with a wire tuck so everything runs up behind the fenders

If that is what you are going to do....why not use the "hot, key on" from the radio? You are right next to it....of course the fues may give out?
