Default 2006-2008 Civic suggestions

I'm a noob to these forums to please bear with me. I'm looking at buying a 2006-2008 Civic Si coupe and was wondering if there were any recurring major problems with these things?? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Gas and go. I've had my '07 for 5 years with no real issues other than below:

The earlier versions have the older rear upper control arms that will do a great job of eating tires. Either get an adjustable upper control arm and dial most of the camber out or pick up the updated arms from Honda.

Then there is the 3rd gear issue which will more than likely have been resolved. My take on this has more to do with the clutch master cylinder not fully disengaging the clutch. There is a nice "correction" offered by Hybrid Racing that I'm getting ready to install in my '07.

I don't know if people have been driving these long enough to know that, but I can say this, respect it, maintain it, and it will last as long as you need. I've had mine for 5 years with 80k on it and aside from the wear and tear on the body, it runs and performs just as well as it did when I got it.

I've had mine for 5 years, 96K miles without any major issues. No 2nd/3rd gear problems.

I've been Supercharged for about 7K miles now as well.

This guy has driven 700,000+ plus miles on his 8th gen Civic. So there's longevity .http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/mecha...ng-strong.html
