Default Ls-v piston question

Kinda new to doing ls-vtec but i was wondering if using npr gsr style pistons would be reliable? I'd rather go oem but im getting em for 150.. Comes with pistons, rings, and pins.

Here are some pics

Not a good idea if you are planning to go LS-Vtec, PR3 or P30s are the perfect pistons, and you are not going to need any modification to the rods...

I dont know about NPR, but the OEM P72 pistones, you need to machine a little bit the LS rods to make it fit...

Why exactly do you say that? I'm not doubting you I just thought gsr pistons would be best. Or ever itr pistons. But there's another guy that actually has new NPR Pr3 pistons, rings, and pins, but Would be okay to run those? Or just find some own ones?

Also this is just for a daily. Not trying to make hella power from it but I just want something faster than the ls I have now..

gsr rods are skinnier at the small end than ls rods, so you're gonna run into a problem trying to install the two.

ahh i see. What about NPR Pr3 pistons, rings, and pins, but would it be okay to run those?

Is npr a reliable brand? I hear good things about em but not much for ls-vtec

Those are the ones I`m running now, your compression with the vtec head is going to be like 12.0:1 it is fine to run with the regular gas

The P72 is not going to give you as much compression as the Pr3 do also, and you are going to regret that in the future...

Go ahead and put the Pr3 or P30s
