Default Davidb's 98 Gsr

I bought a 98 Gsr about 5 months ago. It was fairly stock minus some h&r springs, asr brace, and a type r rear sway bar.

I was going to keep it this way and I really didn't want to do anything to it since I bought the car to be my daily driver. Well, that didn't last long.

I ended up doing my breathing mods (intake, throttle body, header, 2.5in exhaust), type r cams, and skunk2 valve train. Tuned with hondata s300.

Then I decided I would swap 1-4 gears with some b16 gears and put in a type r LSD. Also, while the transmission was out I put in a exedy stage 1 clutch and a 12.5lb act flywheel.

Here is the finished product.

I also decided to get a extra headlight and cut out the high beam for when I go to the track.

Fastest time to date. We only have 1k foot tracks here in Arkansas.

Then I ended up buying some kosei k1's and some hx wheels and some koni/ground controls. Not getting rid of the k1's. Trying to decide what color to paint them. I painted the hx's white.

Before the ground control/koni setup.

After the ground control setup.

I'll update as I do more to the car. I'm sure I have forgotten little things here and there.

I love that color, super clean. The intake thru the high beam is awesome too!

I see u said Arkansas. Thats my home man, used to always go racing at Centerville. I have a lot of buddys that still go out there. They race their Del Dol's, Jaimie's black turbo GSR that set the track record there for super street import, and another that races the Limgo UCR Civic. Just thought I'd share that. Those are some nice numbers too man, I have a LSV swap in my 4 door and my best time there was like a 12.6 at 87.

Haha. Yeah I'm good friends with Dustin, Jamie, and Brandon. Most the work that was dOne to the car was in dustin and Jamie's garage. Dustin made my exhaust and the intake. He also tuned the car.

If I don't change anything else before I make it to a 1/4 mile track, my goal is a 13.9-14.0.

Thanks!
