So i just took apart my motor today about to take it to the machine shop next week. Sprayed it down with some degreaser and cleaned it as well as i could and was looking at it and noticed the bottom intake side looked like it was "flakeing" like paint and looks like a bunch of tiny little cracks

just like the 2 above said
The machinist will not say it F@#$ed off,
he will simply ask what your looking to have done to it,
Those are standard casting flaws from the factory, quality control was probably used more inside oil passages, airflow ports, and other areas that flow couldnt be sacrificied.
Those casting flaws are only subjected to windage and small amounts of CC pressure, and shouldnt be worried about.
Have fun and good luck with your build.
