Default Looking to buy wideband-leaning towards Innovate LM-2. Any current users?

Getting ready to purchase a wide band. I was getting ready to purchase a MTX-L but I really don't want a gauge permanently installed in the car.

I found the LM-2 at a pretty decent price, not a whole lot more than the MTX-L. The internal data logging feature really appeals to me and being to easily remove the unit when I am done is a big plus. There is not much input here that I could find on the LM-2.

So who has recently used the LM-2 and what are your opinions on the unit? Interested in the accuracy and how well the data logging works.

Thanks!

Only advantage to an LM-2 is that its and OBD2 reader and datalogger... Not something you typically need in a Honda.

With that said, NGK AFX is a very good choice. OEM reliability Thats what most of my local guys are running and have had ZERO problems out of any of them. They are on the same sensor for 4+ years. Talk to some Innovate guys and see how often they are having to replace their sensors...

4+ years on my Innovate LC-1...... AFX is a good choice as well. However, I'm not a big fan of it's inability to be configured to output custom voltage ranges. But whatever, too each his own! They both work well for tuning purposes.

NKG is HORRIBLE, off by 1.0- 2.0 AFR points (there was a huge test on all the brands out there a while back, yeah NGK makes good stuff, but NOT afr monitors lol )........ go with the innovative MTX-L, or the LM-2 (but not sure if it is as fast as the MTX-L)

I run an AEM, but will be switching to the MTX-L also........ Good luck

I have an LC-1 just installed it, was easy to install and I liked it.

My friend that tune's uses one at his dyno, he said he replaces the sensor about every 3-4 years. This is of course for dyno. ON a street car you will see shorter life spans.

Also if I recall correctly, it depends on the application how long the sensor lasts.

ON nice Lean N/A setups the sensor will last longer than if it was used on a Rich turbo setup.

Since extra fuel fouls out the sensor over time.

The test unit they sent worked perfectly fine. Still going strong after a few years of on/off usage.

Awesome. Have you any thoughts on the data logging functions and how well they work? For now I will be using it with an OBD2 ECU and will need the data logging features. At the end of the year I hope to have to have the cash together for a Neptune RTP. At that point I need to unit to be able to data log with the Neptune unit. I know I can not use the controller with the RTP but want to make sure I can use the LM-2 wideband with the RTP.

It works just fine, but their website says it will only log OBD2 CAN data, which your ECU doesn't support.

You can use the LM-2 with NepTune, either direct through the software via USB or running one of the analog outputs to an available analog input.

Thanks!, I missed that. Good thing I held of buying it.

Out of curiosity, what year Honda ECUs support can?

It was mandated for 2008 and newer, though some earlier ECUs supported it as well.
