Help with CEL 43?
Okay, just recently the ignition coil went out on my 95 Civic and I found myself coasting down the road for about a half mile moving my body back and forth trying get the car to go that extra yard. Anyways...lol
Now before the coil had gone bad and before I had replaced it I was noticing that when I would get up to around 25-30 mph just when the car should have been shifting from either 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd it would hesitate like crazy almost like it didn't want to shift. Well, a few days later said ignition coil went out, I replaced it, then the check engine light came on and I jumped the 2 pin connector getting the CEL of 43 (Fuel Supply System).
I've read forums saying this is either an O2 sensor (Wouldnt it show either 1 or 2 as the CEL if this was true), a vacuum leak (I've checked with Carb Cleaner, nothing...), or a fuel pump. Does anyone know what this code truly is and if so would it have something to do with the hesitation around the time the vehicle should be shifting?
Sorry this is such a long read but I wanted to give you as much info as possible so you could better understand the issue :/
Also, I've replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, wires and fuel filter.

I found an o2 sensor for 30 bucks so Ill throw that on and if that doesn't fix it then I'll look around for an ecu, everyone I know drives a Honda so someone should have one somewhere. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep you posted.
I had a cel 43 on my 93 del sol si with D16Z6 and auto.
When I went to change my oxygen sensor the old one snapped off in the exhaust manifold. I had to remove the exhaust manifold to work on it and I found a crack in the manifold just to the right of the sensor. After research I learned the crack in the exhaust manifold can be a common problem in these old civics. I replaced the manifold with headers and a new oxygen sensor and now I'm good. I suggest you take off your heat shield from the front of the exhaust manifold and look closely to the right of the sensor about 1 to 2 inches away. It's like a hairline crack running horizontal and it will cause a cel code 43. I never really heard the exhaust noise from it so it was small.
