Hey guys, I'm in the market for an s2k. And the car ive been looking at is out of state.
I asked the guy for pics of the vin tags and stickers before i go see it, but im not sure he's sent me all of them.

It seems he's avoided showing me the typical tell-tale signs of body work....
Im just concerned as to whether the car has been in an accident or not. The car fax is good but that doesnt mean anything really.

So i searched forums and the web for pictures of all the OEM vin tags and stickers on the door sills, front and rear bumpers, the underside of the hood and fenders. But i couldnt really find anything. Could anyone help me out? Pictures, or just describing where they would be would really help me out.

I think there's one on the trunk lid too, and the firewall and dash of course. I've heard that some hardtops even have the VIN on them somewhere. Oh yeah, and the engine should have a VIN too.

 

Vin tags that I know of are dash/ trunk/ front bumper/ door sill/ engine

 

The ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Basically every major removable body panel ( hood, fenders, bumpers, doors, trunk )
Dashboard
Firewall
Both door jambs
Motor (it's on the head not the block)
Transmission
