Where to find steering wheel switches
I'm working on developing an Arduino Uno based DAQ system that's somewhat low cost for club racing. Although I'm installing it on my Spec E30 car, I'll definitely post the code and assembly instructions here once I complete it and get it working reliably.
I'm to the point now where I'd like to wire up some switches to the steering wheel that will allow me to cycle through data on an LCD screen and start/stop a datalog. While the easy solution would be to just wire up a push button switch from RadioShack, they stick out quite a bit behind the steering wheel and get in the way of my quick release.
I noticed that a lot of race cars use these types of buttons:

They're much smaller and seem to be more suited towards racing. Does anyone know where I can find these types of switches? I've been searching for a while now but have been unsuccessful.
Additionally, if anyone has a better idea then please let me know.

Just look through any major electronics suppliers' catalog. Allied electronics, mouser, etc...
EDIT: Here are over a thousand to look through http://www.alliedelec.com/sensors-sw...lays/switches/

I found these on the Motec website. http://www.motec.com/sensors/switches2/
The ebay store I linked to before also has buttons that look similar to what you want. Just search their store for "push button switch"
I think I'm going to order these guys. They're close enough to what I need and are pretty cheap. http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-Red-Green...item43a76e217f
Actually I went ahead and bought the first set that you posted since I'm thinking that they might be easier to push with gloves on. The other ones don't protrude and might be hard to trigger with my thumb.
You guys should check out what some of the serious sim racing guys do. They use the same types of real wheels we do in our cars.
