Okay so i blew my k20z3 i had in my 05 rsx type s. (A rod gave and blew a hole in my block ) which isnt very fun but there is an upside to it.
Looks like i found a nice k24a2 block with an k20a2 head so since my long block blew on the z3 im just going to replace it with the 24, I wanted to know if i have to get any other items to get the motor in there proparly. so if anyone can give me some pointers and things i need to get before i can get my car running again. like do the sensors from the harness work from my rsx and i heard you need a crv motor mount thing for the mount to fit properly. please let me know what else is in store for me when i begin to drop the 24 in my rsx thanks.

 

excuse the spelling, and ill be using my type s 6spd tranny with kpro ecu just to clear that part up.

 

you'll need the CR-V bracket, I'd just swap over all your sensors like crank, knock and cam, you'll need to swap your thermostat housing, make your own heater lines, and probably some other little misc I can't think of off top of my head

hey spaz should i upload a base calibration before i start the motor up thru hondata ? because i dont wanna mess up the k24 since it is a totally new engine i think hondata has a base cal for k24/20's? im not tryin to spin a bearing or something.. i was just thinkin since the tune i had on my z3 might not b safe to run on the k24/20 lmk thanks

 

yeah there are definitely sensor issues that you'll need to deal with that particular swap. Good luck with that bro
