It connects to the ECU.
common places honda hids the ALDL connectors is
Right rear of center console (see pix above)
behind ashtray (remove ashtray from ashtray holder in dash)
Behind glove box (if the gen 3 glove box is like the Gen 2 then ignore this location)
Now When is the manufacture date of the car?
if it's 5/95~7/95 it might be a production issue.
there is a "96" teg around in my town that is still OBD1 the production dat on the car is 6/95 but the title and vin say it's a 96.
if thats the case your ALDL is a 3 wire connector under the dash on the right side next to the heater fan.
also what ECU is in the car?
p72 or P28
if you have a p28 and NO jumper harnes the car is OBD1 and late made 95.
if your running a OBD2~OBD1 jumpper then the ALDL your looking for is useless as the comunication protocal of OBD2 is not the same as OBD1
Also if your running a Chipped ECU some Times the chipping method used will not Support Code readers any more.
had this on my Chipped P28 the J12 was cut for data logging and the Snap-on scanner wouldn't read the computer any more reconnect J12 and all would work fine.
