whistle in throtle
I have a 98 ls non vtec an there is a spot in the throttle where it starts to whistle like crazy but if you give a little more gas or little less its fine. Its not the intake know that for sure just no other ideas
You just can't normally hear it with the factory intake in place (except for some of the Civic Si models where they didn't use a resonator box in the intake track). If you have a CAI or "short" intake, then you can hear the TB whistle much easier.
All Integra factory throttle bodies do this (many other cars too).

Same issue here, though I don't call it an issue. I am running a ported ITR TB.
Mine is quite wide range, TB whistles at 1-3K rpm at when I am at mid-full throttle.
In my case, it was the wind rushing past the idle screw hole. I adjusted the idle screw about one turn (actually I did it bit by bit, one turn was the point it disappears) and after that point, the whistle sound disappears. of course, now my car idles at 1.5K and fuel consumption goes down the gutter.
Of course, I also wondered why it whistles only at certain rpm ranges and certain map portions, so I proceeded to test some shitty theory of mine.
Just rehoned my block and upped capacity, so now road tune for my car at 1-4K rpm during run in, since it's a daily driver, and FC is paramount.
I think it's a sign of a good setting maybe? (totally an opinion, no facts) since when I messed around with the ignition timing, it disappears. MAF sensor installed at intake pipe (i used to measure air flow with Auxbox) shows that when flow increases, I get the whistle. I can also create the whistle by pushing ignition higher at idle and tuning fuel to suit. To avoid it, I just detuned ignition and set the idle at a point where it's generating only enough power to maintain the rpm and load maps on the hondata ecu.
Perhaps I'll get around to modifying the idle screw hole to see if I can eliminate the whistle, but meeh, the sound's not that bad, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Do note that this is in my case, in your case, the whistling could come from somewhere else.
