Default 98 Civic EX - Sometimes car dies at idle

During the winter (if you can say Florida has a winter), my car had a bad habit of not wanting to idle until it warmed up, and it would sometimes die even after it was warmed up. Under acceleration, it acts fine. Now in summer, it still wants to do it every now and then, but most of the time it's fine. I've removed the IAC a couple of times and blown it out with brake cleaner, and it seems to run better for a while (a few weeks), then it's back to its old tricks. But the results are so sporadic, I can't tell if it's just my hopeful thinking.

I've been to a couple of parts stores in town and they don't carry (and can't get) new IACs for my car. Honda wants my arm in principal, and my leg in taxes. Where's a good place to get a new one?

Any other ideas what might be the problem?

google fast idle valve, it should be under your Throttle body, chances are it has loosened up and just needs to be tightened down, other than that just check and make sure your vacuum lines dont have any leaks.
