My service engine light come on early last week. So I waited til Friday to get the oil changed but didnt drive it but the 50 miles to a dealorship. mostly cause i dont have the time to change oil anymore. but now i got the car home and the CEL come on. and i noticed no VTEC. So today I drove the car to the store and shut it off and now it wont start back. it turns over and it hits and runs at wide open throttle but wont stay running. then it stalls out. sounds nearly like it jumped time. but its too hard to tell with all the electronic crap on these cars. so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you misshifted recently?

Check the code on the CEL and post it up.

 

your service engine light is on because of a code in the system why would you have taken it to get your oil changed and not had them pull the code?

 

def check to make sure there is enough oil. they may not have gotten enough in, that would def cause vtec to not work
