For daily driving they are perfectly fine. They screech a little bit during semi-hard turns. I never had a problem with them on my Civic but I never went past 80 on the freeway or 30 on turns.
i drive them on the highway at 90- 100 mph on drive roads... feel nice to me...at first their was a lil twitching, but it 95% stopped and now run smooth... i hear they ain;t too good in the rain... but i pulled 65 -70 in the rain with no problems..
n they ain';t cheap.. i payed 96 for each..

Anybody had experiences with tread wear? How long do these last?
I'm considering getting 225/50-15s cause they are dirt cheap. My other alternative is Falken Ziex ZE-512 in same size.

are there 711's out now? or did you mean 712's?
i have 712's on my 16" rotas and they have lasted about 20k with minimal wear, its not the best tire but its a good tire for the price

711 is a high performance tire, 712 is ultra high performance.
With few exceptions (205/50-15) sizes do not overlap and if you can get 712 in your size, most likely you can't get 711s.
On average, however, 711 is $10-20 cheaper.

I have used both, and the 711 is actually better in the rain. I have the 711's now in 215/40/17, and the 712's were in 205/50/15. I really do like the 711's, and they are a lot cheaper. But if you want something really sticky, get the parada spec-2, or the falken azenis.
Hope this helps

I have 711's. Got them by mistake. I was supposed to get another set of 712's. My tire shop's distributor gave them the wrong tires, and they installed them. I decided to keep them to try them out. They squeel more than the 712's, and don't seem to stick as well. The treadwear is incredible. I have tortured these tires for 5 months(10k miles), and they still look new. I can't say I would buy them again, since I want something with better performance, but it is a descent tire.
I used them before I "upgraded" to the 712. For all around handling, I believe the 712's are better. But in the rain, I felt more slipping from the 712 then I did w/ my 711. Both tires are good, especially when you consider how much each of 'em costs!
check out whalenstire.com r sumthin like that. I bought my 711's from them for 200 bucks.
They are okay tires, wish they were Z rated and had stiffer sidewalls too. I believe the size I got were 205 50 15's. They are decent in the rain also. Will let loose if you really push them. NOT GOOD ON AUTOCROSS TRACK! <--thats for daym sure
I wish I would of had more money at the time to purchase some better Z rated tires, but they wouldn't of lasted as long.
