Default Shane's HELLAFUNCTIONAL CB9 build!

Hey guys and gals, my name's Shane, I'm 18, and I'm an avid car fan! Currently I own a 1993 Honda Accord station wagon (Swag wag). This is a copy and paste so just put up with me

Engine:
F22a1 w/ 110k
CAI

Exterior:
Legend Sedan lip
Stock wheels
Spun SPK-G 15x7
JDM Foglights
Amber corners
Tinted bumper lights
OEM Hood Bra
Tinted high beams and fogs

Interior:
All stock
7" Clarion flip out head unit
Dual 12" Subs
Tweeters

Future Plans:
When she hits ~150k she's getting a H22/5 speed swap

Unil then:
Headers
full exhaust
16x8 XXR 521's in flat black
Coilovers
JDM 1 Piece headlights
Rear discs

Here's some quick cell phone pics I took this morning:

My Clarion head unit. I said Pioneer earlier, but meant Clarion :D
One of my 18's are on the back as a spare

Well today I installed my replica Mugen front lip. It's designed for a 96-97 Accord, but I'm so cool that I made it fit  I only had to trim about 3 inches off of each side, and it came out great :D Here's some pics:

Mocked up:

On and trimmed:

And a little photoshoot :D

I drove it like that for a while and then...

The Accord hit 117k this week which means I've put 8k on it since July 2011

1-30-12

Here's some pics of yours truly and the CB9 with my friends EG hatch :D

HELLASUNK!

3-27-12

Picture time!

Here's the seats when I first got them:

After some Tuff Stuff, and purple power:

Passenger side in: (Sorry for the sideways shots)

Driver side in:

My custom shifter boot:

It was a pretty direct swap with a little modification. I had to oval out the front holes to fit. The inner mount on the TL bolts to the center hump, rather than the floor like the Accord. But the cool thing is that the inner mount is held on by 2 bolts, so all I have to do is unbolt the mount and make a new one to work with the stock mounting location.

3-30-12

Well, my replica Mugen lip finally died. It cracked in half a couple days ago from a speed bump :/ It's been through 10,000 miles, it's been run over 4 times, it's been heated up and reform 3 of those 4 times, and has been cut a couple times lol. It served me well and was definitely worth the $60 I paid back in July. I went out to the junkyard and there was a Legend sedan lip just laying on the ground (Good thing it was, because I went straight to the junkyard after school and had no tools at all) The junkyard gave me the lip for $5 So I was pretty excited about that. Then I saw on craigslist, that someone was selling an OEM "bottle cap" wheel for $15, so I picked that up so that I could have a full sized spare. I got a free 205/55/15 from my dad's job, and threw it on there. I've been pretty productive this past week trying to get her ready for a meet next weekend. Now all I need is a hood and I'll be good to go Pics for you guys when my email stops acting up.

4-2-12

Finaly have some pics!

Here's the last pics I took with the Mugen lip on:

Had to tow my dad's truck to his job, and the swag wag pulled it with no problem:

Lip off, and damage analyzed:

Peeking under her skirt :

Legend lip installed:

And then Saturday night I detailed the crap out of her for the track on Sunday:

And my favorite picture that I have of her:

At the track:

4-16-12

Well I have a little bit of progress. I tightend up my E-brake because I hated how it was so weak, and then I decided to test it out and this is what I got :D

Then I put some HID's in because I missed having them!

And I wired the fogs into the parking lights!

Then Saturday there was a meet on the beach so I went to that, and rolled out there with my friend

4-17-12

Yesterday my friend and I decided to take some pics of our cars, and they actually came out nice enought to post!

Yours truly :D

5-24-12

Hey guys! I finally have some updates! I sold my Datsun a couple days ago to get my license back, and so I could have some money to do some thing to the Swag Wag. I bought a set of wheels for her, they're Spun SPK-G's 15x6.5 :D

And I did a little photoshoot with my friends

I'm hopefully getting tires mounted on the wheels this weekend. Then I'm installing some coils and she'll be done for now. Once I get a job, I'm going to start saving up for a H22, H23 VTEC, F20B swap. Or maybe even a K :D

5-25-12 (Today)

I started cleaning them up yesterday, I hit 2 of them with a scotch brite pad, then wax and prease remover, then filler primer, and then 3 coats of Gloss white. I think they're coming out pretty nice, I started a little late yesterday so I only had enough sunlight to prime 2 wheels, and paint one. I'm going to finish them up today and hopefully mount tires on them tomorrow or Sunday.

When I first got them:

Primed:

Painted:

Hey, sorry for getting back to you so late lmao I used duplicolor filler primer and then rustoleum gloss white. Things have changed a little since the last post. I know have '96 Integra Type R wheels, I painted the Japanese rising sun on the hood, and I lowered it a little more :D

clean car, those wagons are really cool. Talk about tons of cargo space. Don't forget to put some kind of moisturizer or arm in all on the seats after cleaning with a heavy duty cleaner to prevent them from cracking over time.

Thanks guys. 361, there's a yellow film tint that you can buy on eBay. It's $13 for a sheet I think.

I remember getting my first car when I was not even 16. It's a big learning experience when you start doing stuff to it. As bored as you might get seeing it everyday and itching to change things, try to do it right and w/o a bunch of ghetto fab work. What's holding you up from finding that pass. door trim?

361, I'm planning on doing that this weekend, I just can't find the yellow stained glass paint for the high beams :/

Chase, I really don't know. I keep getting told that if I try to pull it off of an Accord in the junkyard, it will break. So I was thinking about ordering all new moldings.

That part (75302-SM4-A01) is $66 without shipping from Hondapartsdeals.com. If you got it at your local dealer it would probably be around $80.
