Default I parked the car and I couldn't get the key out, then...

2000 LS w/auto.

I had to work hard to get the key out of the ignition, then when I returned the car wouldn't start.

All of the display lights came on and went off when they were supposed to, but the car wouldn't turn over.

I removed the key from the ignition, as it now comes out easy.
I turned the steering wheel, to lock the steering column.
I stuck in the key, got steering column unlocked, and continued turning the key.
The car started.

An hour later the same thing happened, but locking and unlocking the column didn't work.

While I had the key turned to the "On" position, I shifted into neutral.
I tried starting it and it started.

Someday it won't start.

What do you think is broken and what can I do?

PS...I have always been able to remove the key, when the car was in neutral. So, maybe I have multiple issues.

Check the neutral safety switch. If that's ok, you may have a bad key cylinder.

The "A/T Gear Position Switch", [has the neutral safety switch built into it] it is misaligned or is defective.

Unless it is in park or neutral engine will not crank, unless in park ign. key lock solenoid will not release the key.

Next time it will not crank, instead of putting it into neutral to try, hold ig. key to start and slowly shift to and past neutral, even move the shifter back and forth in and out of neutral, if engine cranks, adjust the A/T Gear Position switch, if not, replace the switch, not sure if the G3 Integra A/T Gear Position Switch can be "opened" and repaired, [cleaned] like you can with one from a G2, I have done a few G2s but never needed to do a G3s switch. 94

I will play with it this weekend.

I have a service manual (oem) and will look for the A/T Fear Position Switch.
