Default DC5 R susp on civic EM2! Difficult to do?

Hello Everyone!
I bot a susp (dc5r) for my honda civic (EM2) '01 it's brembo brakes, I see that i need to change stabilizer bar (front/rear), struts (front/rear). I have master/buster, prop valve from RSX (base) should i change this for Type R master/buster or I leave it like this? Are the e-brakes longer than usual e-brakes of EM2? So i would need to find e-brakes too.

thank u

PS: my hubs changed from RSX (base).

First off you posted this in the wrong place. This should be under civic 01-05 thread.

Also what year of EM2 do you have? 01-03 you are going to need to change out the control arms to the DC5
04-05 should bolt up perfectly fine.

You don't need to change out the prop valve. Brake master cyclinder is bigger on the DC5 so it will improve pressure

Ebrake cable you need to get from EP3 OR DC5 OR RSX.

Also if you get the suspension from the DC5r you are going to need to get the dc5 or RSX steering tie rods

this may help you.

Civic is 2001(LX, D17..). I have DC5R control arms sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs181.snc4/37411_803131736082_68135563_43301253_3506824_n.jpg I think RSX(base) stabilizer bar will not fit, because its smaller than DC5R. That's why I don't know what to do now with that two (front/rear) stabilizer bars.(in civic '01 there's no rear stabilizer bar I will need "progress" I think) Your post is very good , its for the RSX (base) conversion. And RSX (base) knuckles are smaller that DC5 R. I've changed the hubs, I took RSX(base) hubs and put it in DC5R knuckles.
that conversion I bought: images04.olx.ca/ui/11/05/02/1295483960_159280302_1-Pictures-of--JDM-HONDA-ACURA-RSX-DC5-BREMBO-CONVERSION-INTEGRA-TYPE-R-FOR-SALE.jpg
the same parts I have now.

I read your thread. (questions about DC5 R Brembo conversion)

You'll need axles too, and I don't believe they'll fit into a non-k trans.

I am currently running BASE RSX hubs with RSX type S calipers on D series alxes d17 motor.

for Brembo DC5R front caliper you just need the caliper brackets. for the strut bars you will need the civic ones. the RSX or DC5 will not fit. sway bars will fit over

My type R (DC5R) rotors bigger that RSX (base) ones, knuckles are bigger, thats why i take off my civic knuckles and put the DC5R, but the struts bar holes (two holes that hold strut aknuckle) are bigger too, so i bought a DC5R struts (front/rear) i don't remember if i changed top plates, but it fit good, i need sway bars and progress kit for rear sway bar, im not sure if it will fit again. cause RSX (base) sway bars NOT fit to DC5R LCA =( (DC5R LCA holes are placed a bit longer)
thank u!
now my e-brakes: civic e-brakes - not fit, type R - not fit, EP3 - will try

PS: i got DC5 R struts and springs

I'm saying that DC5R uses 36mm at the axle end/knuckle. You will need to run DC5R axles with this conversion, and they won't be comparable with your D series.

yes I know, the RSX (base) hub is ok for that? I try it.

I am telling you, in order to complete the conversion, you'll need the LONGER dc5r axles which are not compatible with you're non-k drive train. There is nothing else to say. Sorry if you've already invested money in this but you'll to to switch to K series.

This is incorrect, they will work in the front but not in the rear.

At least, my Cusco bar was designed for an RSX and fits my car fine, aside from a bit of hood rubbing.

Yes. U right

I have type r full conver now!

I think to do rear disc brakes only . Rear LCA all ready on the car, master/buster, need change rear brake lines and put the RSX (base) front susp. How do u think this doable for the alignement after?

I'm lookin for civic '01 hatchback axles, for changing CV boot, I want use same side, only right side, because intermediete shaft is more expensive.
