i think it sounds like a bad clutch. check the clutch out and make sure your shift linkage is working properly (and isn't bent).

it shifts when the car is off but when its on it wont shift, do you notice more vibration in your car after this problem, if so check out if your rear mount is off. same **** happend to me, i thought my trans was fucked but ended up being the rear mount.

question, do you have a motor swap? if so then the rear mount could be the problem. if you got the stock motor most likely the problem is somewhere else.

dude just check em both......... can't hurt right?\

Tighten your clutch cable down, the threads on the inside of the adjuster could be stripped, not allowing the clutch to engage, and therefore shift smoothly, if at all.

really unlikely to break your stock diff. my vote is for either the threads stripping on the clutch cable because of the heavy clutch, or pressure plate malfunction. my idiot friend put on the flywheel when i was at the parts store with the zc swap, flywheel was very close to coming off and doing gods knows what damage. proud to say i haven't touched a zc since. b16 yO!

It also most has to be a clutch problem. The clutch is not disengaing when the pedal is pressed. i have had this happen when the clutch disc came apart. The shift linkage comming off is probalbly the result of excess vibration and not the root cause. Time to pull that puppy apart and have a look see.
