89 Wagovan Clutch Issue
Stock dual point motor 5 speed tranny stock replacement excedy clutch and pressure plate.
For some reason there's tons of play with the clutch arm (where the cable attaches to the tranny) therefore making me tighten the clutch cable a lot and still won't allow me to engage the tranny into gear with the car on or off. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Because I've had this clutch for about 6 months and this just start to happen.

Its adjusted all the way out? The clutch isnt gonna determine weather the tranny will go into gear or not. It should go into gear reguardless of the clutch. If it wont go into gear with the car not running then you got other issues.......
So went and messed with the car a little, I was wrong about it not going into gear when the car is off, it does.... The arm has about 2-3 inches of play from it resting point till it hits the point where the clutch wants to disengage, making the clutch cable wayyyy to long.
If you have have a lot of miles on the car, could be a stretched clutch cable. I've also seen the pedal assembly crack/flex and cause issues like that as well. Check cable adjustment as others have said as well.
sounds to me like it has the wrong clutch cable on it - the wagovan clutch cable is not the same as the hatch or 4-door - also, 2wd wagovan cable is much shorter than the 4wd cable
