Has anyone done this? Can u install GSR gears onto an LS tranny? I want to swap in GSR 3rd/4th since 1/2 are already the same.

Im rebuilding my LS tranny and thinking of converting it to a GSR using a B16 FD(same as GSR, 4.40) or just having GSR gearing w/ LS FD(4.26)

I am about to buy a quaffe and I was under the impression that an LS quaffe can be used w/ a b16a FD as well. so i cant go wrong getting the quaffe for an LS even if i decide to go w/ the 4.40 FD.


also, what about putting a B16 or LS Final drive into a stock GSR tranny, is that possible?

1/2 synchros are the same cant split up
3/4 same thing
5/r same thing

not so sure about the final drive but i think most likely

so you on the right track. and definitely you should be able to swap out. ill ask my mechanic if you really want to know though.

 

THe Ring Gear on a B16\LS are different then a ITR\GSR Trans.

Therefore, you can get the 4.40FD 93-97 Del Sol ring gear and use it with that B16a\LS Quaife.
