Post Bypassing 89 CRX si, Dashboard dimmer.

Ok so my dimmer has gone bad, is there any way to just bypass the dimmer? could i just jumper the red, red/black wire that goes to the dimmer? also i read somewhere on HT that all light bulb on the cluster has to work to complete the circuits on a 88-89 cluster is that true? sound's kinda weird unless the light circuits is connected in series but, currently my dash light is not working and concluded that it's the dimmer.. so can i bypass it? thanks

Yes you can... From the back of the switch, cut the 2 black wires and solder them together... ( leave the red/black unused ).

In fact, the dimmer regulates the ground (-), by soldering the 2 black wires together, all your bulbs are directly connected to the ground and give full brightness...

As simple as that !

PS : in some countries, 2nd ground is red... so in this case : solder the RED one with the BLACK one. ( in all cases, leave the RED/BLACK unused !!! )

That's it !
