Default Vacuum?

91 DX hatch with an 87 D61A1 (which has an 89 intake manny). As far as I can tell it should turn over and fire right up. It's getting spark and it should be getting fuel cuz I just put in a new pump and I can hear it kickin on. Still won't fire up though. My only thought is vacuum lines. I don't have a diagram so I basically did some guess work on where the vacuum lines go.

Looking for a second opinion and diagram.

Also the nipples for the vacuum lines on the distributor are broken off. How big of an issue is that going to be? I can probably fix it if it's a problem.

There are no vacuum lines on the distributor.

Just because the fuel pump works, doesn't mean the injectors are working.....

The distro has vacuum lines (i'm like 98.9% sure) its a vacuum advanced distro. I will pull the injectors and report back tomorrow though. And if I'm not getting fuel what would be the more likely culprit? Injectors or wiring?

Any info on vacuum lines would still be appreciated though.

This is the distro I have (minus the cap)

Can anyone tell me where the small single wire male plug goes?

I don't know where the wire goes, but I do wonder why you'd put an engine in that it so much older than the car, and so out dated.

What ECU are you using?

the round white connector plugs into the external coil - the single wire with bullet end on it plugs into the radio noise condenser which should be on the mounting bracket for the coil

unless you have converted the wiring to run the vacuum advance distributor and in addition, are using the 86-87 (not 88-89) Integra PG7 ECU, you will not be able to start it - ECU pinouts for the vacuum advance ignition are not the same as the ECU pinouts for the electronic advance ignition

here is the vacuum line diagram:

Spug-I recently bought the car with the motor dropped in it.

jli- thank you for the diagram and the info on the plug. I'm not positive which ecu it is. I know it's a PG7 but I'm not positive on the year. It will kick right over and fire with starting fluid though.

I did some reading last night and I'm pretty sure I may have found a pretty good reason why it's not running. I don't have the FI resistor box plugged in. I'll mess with it in a lil bit when I'm off work and see what happens.

And again, thanks guys.

86-87 PG7 looks like this - stamped 'X' across cover - 88-89 PG7 has a smooth flat cover

Also above you mentioned something about converting the wiring. I'm not exactly sure what you meant by that but I'll be off work in about 5 hours time so I'll snap some pictures of how I've got it setup.

Update. Just got home from work. Plugged in the FI resistor box and tried to turn her over. Just cranks and cranks like before. Pulled the fuel rail and check to see if the injectors are squirtin. Nothin. And I am getting fuel all the way up to the injectors.

Bad injectors? Wiring? Vacuum?

P.S. jli, I'll snap some pictures in just a minute of my wiring setup for my distributor.

Update. FI Resistor box is off of a 88-91 si. Will it still work?

Side note. Box has a plug with 6 pins but only 5 wires. My harness has same plug but has all 6 wires.
