Default Very SLOW Accelerating 95 GSR.. Help!

Hey, I have a 4 door 95 GSR. The car is just really slow. In all gears the revs just climb very slowly, and the fuel cut off comes in at 7k rpm's. Isn't the stock rev limiter 8.1k? I don't have a check engine light or anything. I also can't really here or "feel" vtec much at all. Almost like it's non existant.

When I go up against my other friend who has a 95 GSR he walks all over me. It's like we don't even have the same engine!!? What gives..

Thanks

edit- Oh and I'm positive I have a GSR engine and not an ls, I compared engine bays with my friend.

I looked at my ECU, couldn't find the number ??? But on the outside of the box it was written in marker "LS/GSR" then below "Auto/5spd". Also when I start my car and it's fairly cold for about 5 mins the rpm's bounce from 1500-2000. I'm beginning to think something is wrong with the ECU even if it is a GSR one.

Might not make a difference, my friend has an automatic b16 ecu and his cutoff is at 7,000 also.

Anyone see a problem with putting in my friends ECU for a test drive? He also has a 95 GSR.

I helped out another guy today by sending him one of my chipped ecu's. Some one stole his stock p72 gsr ecu so he bought the car w/ a stock p28 ecu...he doesnt even know the gsr motor is able to rev to 8200 stock. I sent him my ecu, and he wont stop thanking me for fixing his problem. Dont know if this has any relevance to your situation, but you should try out your friends p72 gsr ecu. If you want a chipped p28, a chipped p72, or even a stock p72, just let me know. I would be happy to help... jaysu101@yahoo.com or IM me thanks

he doesnt want a chipped p28, that will not open his secondary intake runners or use his knock sensor. I highly doubt this problem has to do iwth having the wrong ecu... and i think its lame you are offering that as a solution merely to make money selling your product.

Isnt everyone always trying to make money some way? I think your lame for even calling me that. Like i said..."Dont know if this has any relevance to your situation.." its a suggestion. Dont know if it would help, but get it through your head, we're all on this board to put in our suggestions/input, and help in anyway if someone needs it. Read more carefully and think before you start labling people....!!

I thought they only weighed 80 pounds more? And I doubt the weight is the reason his car is so slow...something has to be wrong with it...

Lets see, no V-TEC, 7000 rpm fuel shut off? Hmm, maybey your valve cover says DOHC VTEC, but maybey you have an LS motor.
