Rattle under 800rpm
Everytime my rpms drop a little below 800rpm I get a rattley noise coming from the front somewhere. Someone told me it is the exhaust gasket that connects the header to the rest of the exhaust (from what I understood). Does anyone know what exhaust gasket to order? Or is it another problem?

In all honesty, it could be a lot of things. The best thing to do is to think about what mods you did in the past that couldve caused the new rattle.
Sometimes when I push in the clutch the rpms will drop to about 400-500, makes that rattle noise, then back up to 800. I'll make a vid and hope you can hear the rattle in it.
i think what ur talking about is the noise right b4 the engine stalls. im pretty sure ur fine. i get a rattle too. not sure if its he same as urs but its been like that in my old S and in my current one im not too worried.
mine seems to only drop that low right after i start it up when the engine is warm...never stalls though and its done it the 4 years ive had the car so i just look at it as an S2Kism

no way its just the norm. its a extra hard vibration since the engine is about to stal or stall and something rattles for s split second no bigs. almost sounds like a knock
generally this super low idle rattle is some portion of the exhaust hitting a heat shield that has seen its better years. those heat shields are made of such cheap steel generally, I'd start there if you are concerned.
a worn out timing chain tensioner can cause a rattle like this. it's a common thing. look over on s2ki.com for some more info if you can't find any on here. you can either buy a new one that will wear out again, or service your current one, or buy a modified one.
It actually does sound like a rattling heat sheild but I checked and didn't see anything loose. I'll look again then take a vid. busy week..
