Default What SAE Trans oil for s4c ?

Hello guys,

Im about to change tranmission oil for my s4c tranny on civic si 00, i have found the below in Mobil 1:
Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lube LS 75W-140 &
Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lube LS 75W-90

Some other brands , like Amsoil writes 5w30 MTF, that is confusing!! how the hell to choose the right SAE.

Which one is recommend for this tranny?

BTW, is there a trans oil filter in my car ?

it is a thin oil, 5w30 is pretty much right. do not put gear lube in it.

and no there is no transmission filter.

I use GM syncromesh with the friction modifier. Had never gave me issues. I use it on my 99 Si as well as my 06 TL 6mt

Honda MTF is the same weight as 75-w90.
75-w140 is for differentials only.

75w90 is nowhere as thin as Honda MTF.

Plain old 10w30 has been working fine for 25 years.....
